Second-Year Field Placement Planning  
Placement Planning Book 2009 -- Printed Copy
On Thursday, February 19, printed copies of the CUSSW Placement Planning Book will be distributed from 8:30 until 4:00 in the Field Education Department on the fifth floor to students who will be entering second year field placement next fall. Bring your student ID and sign in so that we know you've received your copy. If you cannot pick up the Book on Thursday come any day after the 19th with ID to room 511. The Placement Planning Book provides instructions regarding placement selection, an overview of the various Methods and Fields of Practice, and a descriptive listing of placement sites. If you are entering second year field in the fall and do not receive a copy of the book, please contact the Field Education office. A PDF version of the introduction to the printed Placement Planning Book, including the sections on Selecting a Second Year Placement, Fields of Practice, and Special Projects, is available here.

Placement Planning Book -- Online Listings
The agency listings which appear in the printed Placement Planning Book will also be available online beginning February 19th. The online listings allow you to view sites which match any combination of geographic location, practice method, and field of practice. You will be prompted for your Columbia UNI and password to access the Web site. Access is restricted to students who will be entering second-year field education next fall. If you are unable to view the listings please contact the Field Education Department (212-851-2307, room 511).
