Session Registration
The Summer 2008 Course Schedule is available online.
Note that "TR" means "Tuesday and Thursday" and
"R" means "Thursday" on the Course Schedule pages.

Online and telephone registration begins Tuesday,
April 1. Add/drop periods are from April 2 to April 4, and from May 27 to May 30.
Register as soon as you can (after your appointment
time). You may find your appointment time by telephone
(212-854-4488) or at Student
Services Online. The first time listed is
your assigned appointment time. It is the first
time you have access to the registration system,
and appointment times thereafter are for adding/dropping
classes. Please note that you will not be allowed
to register if you have a hold. To check to see
if you have a hold, call 854-6464, or log on to
Student
Services Online.
To register by telephone:
Call 854-8282. You will need:
1. Your four-digit PIN. (Student
Services Online)
2. Five-digit course call number(s) (consult the
Directory
of Classes).
3. Your Social Security Number
To register online:
1. Log on to Student
Services Online (SSOL).
2. Click on "Registration."

Program Requirements
Two-Year Program: First-Year
Students
All first-year program requirements must be completed
by the end of the Summer Session.
For example, if you have not taken T660A HBSE A, T660B HBSE B, T6801 Social Welfare Policy or T6501 Social Work
Research, then you must take it during the Summer Session.
You will not be allowed to register for your second-year
courses if you have not completed all of your first-year
requirements.
16-Month Program
You should register yourself for T6501 Social Work Research, T7102 Social Work Practice II, and T7103 Advocacy in SW Practice. You will be automatically registered for T6010 Field Education, for 4 points, and T660B HBSE B. You may change your HBSE section if you prefer an alternate section.
Extended Program
Extended Students (not in 6010 Field Education): Extended
students who have completed T660A HBSE A, T660B HBSE B, T6801 Social Welfare
Policy, T6502 Quantitative Methods for SW, and T6501 Social Work Research are not required to
take any classes during the summer term. Extended students
who have not completed T660A HBSE A, T660B HBSE B, T6801 Social Welfare
Policy, T6502 Quantitative Methods for SW, and T6501 Social Work Research have the option of
taking any of these courses during the summer. These
courses can also be completed during the 2008/2009 academic
year.
Extended Students (currently in 6010 Field Education): All
first-year program requirements (T660A HBSE A, T660B HBSE B, T6801 Social Welfare
Policy, and T6501 Social Work Research) must be completed
by the end of the summer term. If you have not taken
any one of these classes, you must take it over the
summer. Extended students who have completed their first-year program requirements
(T660A HBSE A, T660B HBSE B, T6801 Social Welfare
Policy, and T6501 Social Work Research) are not required to
take any classes over the summer. However, students
who want to lighten their course load during the academic
year can take one or two electives during the summer
term.
Please keep in mind that taking electives during the
summer may affect your full-time status thus eligibility for grants and scholarships
for the academic year. Please consult with the Financial Aid Office for more details.
Reduced Residency
Program
First-Year Reduced Residency Students:
Reduced Residency students who have completed T660A HBSE A, T660B HBSE B, T6801 Social Welfare
Policy, T6502 Quantitative Methods for SW, and T6501 Social Work Research
are not required to take any classes during the summer
term. Reduced Residency students who have not completed
T660A HBSE A, T660B HBSE B, T6801 Social Welfare Policy, T6502 Quantitative Methods for SW, and T6501 Social Work
Research have the option of taking any of these courses
during the summer. These courses can also be completed
during the 2008/2009 academic year.
Second-Year Reduced Residency Students:
You will be automatically registered for the same section of T6011 Reduced
Residency Integrating Seminar this summer and T7103 Advocacy
in SW Practice.
All first-year program requirements (T660A HBSE A, T660B HBSE B,
T6801 Social Welfare Policy, and T6501 Social Work Research) must
be completed by the end of the summer term.
Third-Year Reduced Residency Students:
Reduced Residency students who were in the field only
three days per week during the academic year are expected
to complete their fieldwork requirements during the
summer term. They should register for T6020 Field Education, section

International
Students (First-Year)
You will be automatically registered for T6010 Field
Education for 4 points. You should register yourself for T7102 Social Work
Practice II, T7103 Advocacy in SW Practice, and any remaining first-year background courses.
