About the Presenter
Richard Glassman, LCSW works at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in urology and Genito-Urinary medical oncology. Glassman has worked in medical social work for over 15 years. He has a private practice in psychotherapy with couples and works with families dealing with chronic illness. At Memorial Hospital, he is a staff clinician in the Family Therapy Clinic. He also teaches communication skills to fellows and residents to help improve communication skills and be more effective with patients and families with critical issues.

The Clinical and Community Practice Grand Rounds is made possible through the generous support of the Hyman Grossbard Lectureship. Dr. Grossbard graduated from CUSSW in 1938, and was a member of the School's faculty from 1952 until his retirement in 1973. An eminent psychiatric social worker, Dr. Grossbard was highly regarded for his significant contributions to the field of child welfare.
